CLARK MCKINNEY
President
He is Currently President of the "new" Camp Wabenaki located on Lake Stahahe on S-11. Clark Mckinney is also a Director and Trouble Shooter for The Greater Ridgewood Youth Council(GRYC) in Ridgewood Queens. Clark Mckinney grew up on the Lower East Side, his career started in the Boys Brotherhood Republic (BBR) . Clark Mckinney started going to the BBR and the former Camp Wabenaki on S-3 at the tender age of 6. He eventually started working at the BBR at age 13, where he managed and assisted in the gym program, he counseled kids as a basketball coach and camp counselor, he also became a life guard on the waterfront as well and the assistant cook in the Camp Wabenaki Kitchen.
He established a strong relationship with the founders Ralph & Rose Hittman, and he developed a strong close bond with their sons, Stephan, Michael and Jeff. The Hittman family welcomed him into their family with open arms. Clark Mckinney came from a single family home , he is the youngest of 6 siblings. Mr. Mckinney is now married for over 36 years to his loving beautiful wife Beverly and they have 3 girls and 10 grand kids.
Mr. Clark Mckinney has dedicated his life to giving back to his community now and his career spans for over 30 years and he continues to do so everyday like his mentors and stepparents(Ralph & Rose) have raised and taught him to do .
Mr. Mckinney has had a big hand in raising some of our youth into well developed men and woman of our society. Some of his kids he helped raise have become Policemen, Lawyers, Professional Basketball Players, Teachers, Coaches, Fireman, Nurses, etc. and they to continue to give back to the community on a daily basis just as he has. He is a life time coach and teaches our youth every day to be the best they can be and to reach for the stars because their is no limit to what they can do if they put their minds to it and with his guidance that is exactly what they are doing.
